The Hozelock Ecocel pond filters provides full mechanical and biological filtration for ponds up to 10000 litres. The water enters the filter through a sprayhead which distributes the pond water over the foam filter sponge which removes the solid waste particles. The biomedia is the final stage of filtration and provides a place for the 'good' bacteria to grow and clear away the ammonia, nitrites and other toxins from the pond water. Water is then return to the pond via the outlet tube.
