Vintage John Wright Cast Iron Lantern-1988-Teal Green Candle Holder-9.5" x 5"

Description

Vintage cast iron lantern marked on the bottom:  John Wright 1988.  Lantern is a teal green color.  It has a black metal handle and glass windows.  It opens by lifting the corner hook and opening up two sides.  There is a taper candle size opening inside, but I would think you could also place a pillar candle inside or a battery operated candle.  Candle is not included.  Item is pre-owned, but in very nice condition.  It is a bit dusty, and I'm not sure of the best way to clean cast iron, so I will leave that to the buyer.  I see one window pane edge that seems to have a missing bit of the cast iron.  I'm not sure if this is a chip or if it is a small flaw which happened during the casting process.   I've shown it in the last photo.  The glass panes are screwed to the center of the windows from the inside.  It has felt pads on the feet.  It measures about 9-1/2" tall (not including the handle) and about 5" wide.  This would be great on a patio or fireplace hearth.  It weighs about 7 lbs., 11.2 ounces on my digital postal scale.  Handle will be removed for shipping.
