Vision Trainer Glasses by Socal Travel BallPerfect for Baseball and Softball Hitters.
What does it do?
The glasses restrict, impair, minimize and affect your ability to see the ball.
Why do I want this?
It forces a hitter to peek through the tiny holes, strategically placed nanometers apart, allowing your eyes to peek through the available holes. This forces your eyes to focus on the target through the holes, and makes it difficult to see the ball. It makes for a perfect drill for hitters playing soft toss or hitting wiffle balls.
Is this easy?
At first, you will struggle, but once you learn to keep your head steady, and concentrate with your eyes on the target, you will get the hang of hitting the ball dead center. There is an old cliche heard at every diamond ever played on, "KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE BALL!" These glasses help to accentuate that and drill that activity home.
Will this fix my child's swing?
No. Neither will a 0 dollar bat. These glasses are meant to provide your child with an extra drill to help improve their ability to track and spot the baseball. It will help to improve their ability to track a ball when used for after only few practices. When the player removes the glasses, they should see an improvement on their tracking when hitting, thereby, hopefully also improving their confidence. Rome was not built in a day. Improvement will not happen after just 1 day. However, you will see that a player will start off on Day 1 struggling to find the ball in a soft toss drill. Then, after a few reps, they will learn to hold their head steady and spot their target.
Should this be used in a batting cage with a pitching machine?
No, this is too dangerous. Pitching high velocity hardballs from a coach, or a machine can lead to dangerous consequences. Use a wiffle ball and throw that one as hard as you want. If the wiffle ball hits a player, the hard plastic will hurt a little but not cause the amount of damage felt by a wild pitch launched from a machine. The problem is that your vision is restricted so a wild pitch might not be detected in time by the hitter to move out of the way. So for this drill, hard balls should only be used as a front soft toss drill. The coach/parent should toss the ball behind a protective barrier such as a net, and wear a helmet. Should be used with adult supervision.
Can we buy one pair and use for the whole team?
Sure, you can do that. But there is a big push for everyone to not share items so a team set might be the way to go. This way, everyone can keep a pair on their back pack and it also helps Socal Travel Ball to sell more. Wink Wink.
Is this for Baseball or Softball?
It can be used for both. Both are hitters. This is a hitter specific drill.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, whether you buy 1 or whether you buy 10 pairs, I will offer free shipping.
What if I don't like it?
No problem, I will provide you with a 30 day guarantee. No risk. If you don't like it, ship it back, undamaged with original packaging and you will get a 100% refund.
